AccuBuild

On September 22, 2011 By andrewbrauch

AccuBuild was founded in 1987 by professionals inthe construction, accounting andbonding industries.

Our Goal – To provide an affordable construction accounting software program that would meet the specific needs of small to mid-sized construction companies and specialty contractors.

Using their respective expertise, the founders created a construction-specific software program that satisfied the job management (e.g. job cost accounting) needs of construction company owners, met the accounting integrity demanded by accountants, and provided the reports required by bonding agents.

AccuBuild originally developed its construction management software in DOS and sold it to contractors in California. In 1996, the Windows-based, 32-bit AccuBuild Construction Software application was released and the company expanded its sales to a nationwide construction audience.

In 2004, the SQL version of AccuBuild Construction Software was launched, further establishing the product as a best-in-class leader for its price range. Today,AccuBuild offers power, speed and construction-specific functionality for thousands less than many other construction management software packages.

AccuBuild’s client/server application and Advantage SQL database opens the door for the remote access technology of the future. The company is committed to the ongoing enhancement of the AccuBuild Commercial Construction Software suite of products, such as construction accounting, and will continue to leverage the latest technology to develop new features and capabilities.

Anaya Development

On February 5, 2011 By andrewbrauch

Haiti Building Blocks, LLC (a Texas LLC)  is providing superior building materials for the reconstruction of Port au Prince, Haiti.

THE CHALLENGE

  • The earthquake on January 12, 2010 leveled most of the city of Port au Prince leaving hundreds of thousands without homes, food, water, hospitals or access to education.
  • Most, if not all, commercial buildings were either destroyed or damaged beyond repair.
  • Current construction materials are limited and of the poorest quality in Port au Prince which will severely hamper rebuilding efforts.
  • Reconstruction will take more than ten years to complete.

SOLUTION

  • A team of business owners, that included Harold Chapman and Matthew Flippen, toured Port au Prince in March and determined that a vertically integrated operation involving crushing aggregate material and producing concrete block and ready‐mix concrete would contribute greatly to the
    rebuilding efforts.
  • This US business team has over 80 years of combined experience operating in the highly competitive US construction materials market, building businesses
that totaled over $130 million in annual revenues.
  • The US team has secured $1.75M in funding commitments to date.
  • Three members of the management team, including the Chief Production Officer, the Chief Financial Officer and the Production Manager, will move to Haiti to run operations.

Common Steps

On October 28, 2010 By andrewbrauch

Common Steps is  non-profit (501c3) provider of educational and support services for people struggling with relationship issues heightened by life events such as death, separation, divorce, remarriage, and career changes as well as positive events such as marriage, the birth of a child and parenting. Our focus is on helping local churches and communities with relationship education using nationally recognized resources that provide program participants with encouragement and healing.

History

Common Steps was formed in 2001 to address the needs of families affected by divorce. The Common Steps Strategy was created to move families from hopelessness to strength by refocusing parents and children on how God can help them heal and overcome. While many other ministries, support groups, churches, therapists, attorneys, and government agencies seek to help in some way the Common Steps Strategy exists to:

  1. Reach out to communities through campaigns, such as the Common Steps Networks
  2. Identify and involve local resources for these individuals and families
  3. Encourage local churches and other advocates to get involved
  4. Help extend the reach of and improve the effectiveness of other Christian ministries

Feed the Kingdom

On October 28, 2010 By andrewbrauch

Our mission at Feed The Kingdom is to establish a humanitarian drilling company based in Kenya — Kingdom Drilling — that will bring water to all of East Africa including Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi.

Over 1.3 billion people in the world today do not have clean drinking water. This missionary drilling company drills wells for villages, orphanages, schools, communities, and churches that currently do not have clean drinking water.

Along with providing water for drinking and agricultural purposes, our calling is also to bring the living water of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached peoples of East Africa.

Global Advance

On October 28, 2010 By andrewbrauch

Global Advance exists to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by empowering national church and business leaders to evangelize and disciple their nations and plant churches among the unreached, by encouraging the church to reach its full missions potential, and by enlisting prayer partners for global spiritual harvest.

How It Works

Global Advance believes there are three keys to changing nations. These keys are pastoral leaders, marketplace leaders and women in leadership. Our ministry focuses on these three areas to encourage evangelism, church planting and missionary service. For more on each of these three keys, choose either pastors, marketplace leaders or women from our home page or menu at the top.

The Busby Foundation

On October 28, 2010 By andrewbrauch

The Busby Foundation was created in November 2001 by friends and colleagues of the late Bo Busby to honor his life and legacy. Bo courageously fought ALS and yet still helped other, less fortunate fellow ALS patients and their families by providing assistance in many ways. It is in that spirit that we continue to serve other Central Texas families touched by this tragic disease.

The Foundation provides support and assistance to Central Texas ALS families in an effort to comfort patients and address the overwhelming demands and lifestyle changes that come with the disease.

Examples of the way we help include:

  • Providing financial “gap” assistance until federal agencies’ aid begins.
  • Directing families on available resources in managing these challenges.
  • Constructing wheelchair and handicap accessibility features into their home.
  • Assisting with home healthcare and nursing aid.
  • Supplying transportation vouchers to help with hospital visits.
  • Donating services to help families secure wheelchairs, breathing equipment, stair lifts and other mobility devices.
  • Showing compassion and empathy in demonstrating the community of ready and willing support in their battle.

Third Day Games

On February 5, 2011 By andrewbrauch

Parents Can Now Channel Children’s Love of Video Games Into Fun Bible Learning With BIG Bible Town

BIG Bible Town is a new online game that teaches God’s Word and builds Christian character as children practice putting their faith into action. Start playing for FREE at www.BIGBibleTown.com

How Does It Work?

  • BIG Bible Town is an online game set in a virtual Bible land and designed specifically to connect with K-6 children.
  • Kids create their own character and explore Bible story adventures to earn game coins, which they use to purchase virtual items for their character and homestead.
  •  They can also give game coins as virtual Tithes and Offerings to their Big Bible Town church and then use them to build the downtown, school, and park areas of their town.

Finally, they can invite friends to be neighbors and help each other grow their towns.
